IMPORTANCE OF WATER CONSERVATION By- Antarjit Das Class-VIII Don Bosco H.S School, Kokrajhar INTRODUCTION: India is always trying its best to supply water to all the states, districts, towns, cities, villages, i.e., reaching to all its fellow citizens. Yet, many areas still continue to starve for proper drinking water. Why is this happening in spite of that we have a total of 5,202 major dams and 231 working water treatments units and plants? This poor situation of water processing in our country has been slowly creating a huge negative impact on our valuable human resources. Many scientists, beginner researchers, engineers and our fellow citizens have been continuously engaging themselves in different water conservation techniques. Some have their own home remedies, while some carry out deep research on various projects for water conservation.
